Definition
Angiosperms are those plants having seeds protected by the ovary
Gymnosperms are those plants having seeds not protected by the ovary. So the seeds are naked in Gymnosperms.

Reproductive Structure
They are present in the form of flowers
They are present as cones
Cotyledons
Monocot or Dicot
Absent
Flowers
The flowers are either unisexual (castor and Maize) or bisexual (Brassica)
The flowers are always unisexual.
Thalamus
The thalamus is small, conical, flat or cup shaped.
The thalamus is elongated represented by the long axis of the female plant
Parts of Flowers/ Cones
The calyx and corolla are arranged in cyclic whorls on the thalamus.
Mesosporophylls are arranged in a spiral manner.
Male Gametophyte
Male gametophyte completely reduced
Male gametophyte represented by two prothallial  cells
Leaves
Leaves are generally flat.
Leaves are needle or scale like.
